To identify, create and provide solutions to enrich the next generation of K-12 students, both in and outside of the classroom, by delivering high-quality standards and curriculum, equipping parents, teachers and community members, and advocating for academic freedom, transparency and parental rights.

Don Charles

Executive Chariman and co-founder

Don, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder, is a retired businessman who has been focused on education as a foundational issue in everything. His business experience indicated that the US was losing ground educationally and his experience as a father indicated that K-12 education in the US had more problems than solutions. He strongly believes that education is a moral responsibility from one generation to the next and that economic opportunity depends on a strong education, however it is attained. He teamed with others of similar mind to form Freedom In Education and continues to work actively to help find, create and promote solutions to enhance education quality and transparency.

Prior to retiring, Don led a $2.5 billion corporate finance business located in over 50 countries. Thirty years earlier, he started as a one man business in one location. He led that business to $10 million and then grew a $20 million business to $100 million, a $200 million business to $400 million and a $1.25 billion business to $2.5+ billion. A big part of his success depended on managing change, connecting the short term with the long term, and providing valuable solutions in markets with different needs. He is applying those skills to help Freedom In Education make a positive difference in education.

Melissa Jackson

President and Co-Founder

Melissa Jackson, President and Co-Founder of Freedom in Education, made the decision to leave her thriving career in Software Validation Consulting and Project Management 2.5 years ago to get involved in the grassroots efforts to advocate for an academic focus in K-12 schools and a respect for parents rights . This choice was driven by her personal experience witnessing her own children facing challenges arising from politically motivated agendas in public schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing her project management and operational expertise, she established a robust infrastructure for a nationwide parent organization. Additionally, her leadership style played an important role in fostering a unified grassroots movement in her home state of Georgia. Among her most treasured life experiences were the 14-years she spent as a stay at home mom with her 4 children who are now 24 through 16 years old. It is now time to prioritize the pursuit of constructive solutions for K-12 education. Solutions that aim to empower children within the public school system and those who transition away from it, ensuring their success and fostering their independence as productive citizens.

Apryl Dukes-McDaniel

Director of Research and Content and Co-Founder

Apryl Dukes-McDaniel is the Director of Research and Content and Co-Founder of Freedom in Education. She is a devoted wife, mother of three and a small business owner residing in Georgia. She holds a degree in Business Management & Marketing from North Carolina State University with over 17 years of experience in leadership and creative design. Apryl left Corporate America in 2011 to raise her children and launched her own photography business shortly after. As an avid researcher, she joined grassroots efforts in her own community to preserve the God given freedoms that were being jeopardized during the 2020 pandemic. In pursuit of truth & transparency in education, Apryl has worked to expose indoctrination infiltrating K-12 schools across America over the past three years and educate parents on their rights to direct the upbringing of their children. On a mission to preserve the innocence of all children, she advocates for keeping young minds safe in this digital age and believes education should equip students with the logic and reason to navigate in a world filled with lies and propaganda.

Beanie Geoghegan

Manager of Content and Solutions and Co-Founder

Beanie Geoghegan is Manager of Content & Solutions and Co-Founder of Freedom in Education. She has been involved in education for over two decades as a teacher, parent, volunteer, and advocate. She spent the last 2 ½ years in a leadership position for a national parents organization where she also created mission driven content and worked side by side with parents in Kentucky and nationally to champion parents rights and shine a light on the harmful content in K-12 schools. She is passionate about ensuring that all students have access to a high-quality education that shapes them into virtuous citizens and prepares them for a purposeful life. Though her four children are no longer in school, she is using her experience in the classroom and as a parent to continue to advocate for the next generation. Beanie is married to her high school sweetheart and spends a lot of her free time letting dogs in and out of the house.

Miranda Stovall

Manager of Community Engagement and Co-Founder

Miranda is the Manager of Community Engagement and Cofounder. She is a devoted wife and mother of four. For the last two and a half years Miranda has been an advocate and grassroots leader for children's education in Kentucky, infecting others with courage to make a change in learning environments when school systems won't listen. In a leadership role with a national parent group, she played an important part in exposing harmful content for minors across the country. In her home state she successfully advocated for legislation that addresses such issues in schools. Miranda now travels statewide, empowering parents and communities to use their voices when they see something that is not right, letting those citizens know that demanding excellence from their local school is acceptable, possible, and necessary for future generations.

Nathan Gwinn

K-12 Lead Teacher Advisor

A lifelong passion for education, ignited by growing up with a mom who was a public high school teacher, has propelled Nathan into a fulfilling career as a K-12 leader and educator. Currently serving as the principal of St. Mary's Catholic School in Jackson, TN, Nathan's journey encompasses valuable experience as both a public school administrator and teacher.

Driven by a servant leadership philosophy, Nathan sees education as more than a profession - it's a vocation, a means to uplift communities and empower the next generation. With a strong focus on fostering teacher growth to elevate educational outcomes, Nathan is committed to making a lasting impact.

Beyond the professional sphere, Nathan finds joy and purpose in family life as a devoted husband and father to four wonderful children.

Sabrina Caserta

Media Director

Sabrina Caserta, Media Director, was born and bred in Bronx, New York, is a media publicist and legal analyst consultant who received her Masters' Degree in Investigative Journalism from Columbia University's School of Journalism. As a former reporter, her work has appeared in The Associated Press, The New York Daily News, CBS News and Street Sense. Sabrina has also worked as a contract publicist in the technology sphere and has spent the last several years working in the investigatory department for a New York law firm. As a member of Roger Williams University's class of 2016, Sabrina studied Journalism and Political Science. This fueled her passion for free and fair critical thinking, as well as a grounded, common sense approach to education, which ultimately led her to contract with Freedom In Education. As an avid reader, health enthusiast and travel addict, Sabrina enjoys pilates, scuba diving and writing in her spare time.

Brody Petska

Manager, Teacher Coalition

Brody Petska is currently the manager of the Teacher Coalition for Freedom in Education. His journey in education reform started when he was in high school when he pushed back against Common Core, political indoctrination, and the unwarranted collection of student data with his organization, SPARK. Brody has taken a keen interest in exposing the occult takeover of American education by writing about topics such as Alice Bailey, the origins of Social Emotional Learning, the Rockefellers, and the United Nations. He hopes to create a positive change in the American Public School System by implementing practical solutions with the help of Freedom in Education.
